Why it matters

A candidate asks an AI assistant who the good employers are. The answer decides where they apply.

Most employer brands were built for Google. Almost none have been measured against ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity or Gemini, the channel a growing share of candidates now research in. The Index measures it, and a Pro audit shows you exactly where you stand.

Which UK employers are best to work for in my field?
For roles in your field in the UK, candidates usually weigh up large, well-known employers with structured training, clear progression and a strong reputation. A few established names tend to surface first. It is worth comparing pay, culture and reviews before applying.
[Your brand] does not appear. Cited in 1 of 4 assistants.
Same question, two AI-era reputations

Illustrative. A live Pro audit runs this across four assistants on your own queries.

The headline findingOne in four UK employers publish no schema an AI assistant can read, and the median brand scores just 30 out of 100. That structured data spells out who you are, where you hire and what each job is, so without it the assistants fall back on guesswork. It is the most common zero in the cohort, and the most fixable.
